The Honourable Don Plett, Senator for Manitoba. On August 27th, 2009 Don was appointed to the Senate of Canada by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and is the second Mennonite to be appointed to the Senate since Confederation. In the Senate he serves on the Transportation and Communication Committee as well as the Agriculture and Forestry Committee.

Mr. Bob Irving, Past Chair and Senior Advisory Committee Member
for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Bob has been the play-by-play voice of the Blue Bombers since 1974 and the Sports Director at CJOB since 1982. He was the TV play-by-play announcer from 1987 to 1990. He was editor and co-author of a book entitled “Blue and Gold, 75 years of Blue Bomber History”, the book became a Canadian best-seller with 7,000 copies sold.
